Eric Douglas Teal, 55, of York, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. He was born in York and was the loving son of the late Ronald L. Teal and Carol (Mason) Hill. He was the devoted husband to Angela Nicole (Forbs) Teal.

He worked in sanitation for Hanover Foods for six years.

Eric enjoyed motorcycles, cooking, listening to music, being outdoors on his porch, tuna fishing, working on cars and trucks, the Steelers, and cats and dogs. His greatest love was his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Eric is survived by his daughter, Shantel Teal-Yeager (Micah) of New Oxford; step-children, Brianna Whisler (Max), Paul Sponseller (Casey Rice), Ryan Sponseller, and Donald Sponseller; Siblings, Shane Teal (Christine) and Kimberly Rogers; grandchildren, Hunter and Noelle Yeager, Nataleigh, Lennon, Max, Reese, and Daniella. In addition to his father, Eric now rests in heaven with his granddaughter, Kierstin Yeager and was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Teal and sister, Rhonda Gross.
