Elmer F. "Fred" Humbert, 82, passed Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at his home. He was the husband of Myra B. Miller.
Fred was born September 29, 1941, in New Oxford, the son of the late Elmer F. and Iva (Smith) Humbert.
Fred was an avid NASCAR fan of Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr, and any kind of racing, and he enjoyed playing pool for the Park Hotel in New Oxford.
In addition to his wife Myra, Fred is survived by two daughters, Lori Mummert and her husband Jeffrey of Thomasville, and Lisa Berwager of New Oxford, two step daughters, Brenda Brownawell of Williamsport and Tracey Cook and her husband David of East Berlin, a step son, Darwin Weibley and his wife Georgia of Abbottstown, seven grandchildren, Ashley Mummert, Amber Mummert, Aaron Mummert, Brandon Weibley, Courtney Hockensmith, David Cook, Jr, and Shawney Cook, 13 great grandchildren, a brother, Burnell Humbert of New Oxford, and his favorite cat, Jumpy. He was predeceased by a brother, Norman Humbert, and a sister, JoAnn Harrington.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 12 PM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Robert Anderson officiating. Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday, from 11 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Adams Co.
