Edward J. Macie, 79, passed Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at his home.  He was the husband of Mary Christine (Jones) Macie, his wife of 56 years.

Edward was born August 25, 1944, in Cooperstown, NY, the son of the late Bernice (Ritchey) Scott.

Edward was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Hanover, and was an engineer with NASA.  He was active in Adams County Child Evangelism Fellowship and was an avid bowler.

In addition to his wife Mary Christine, Edward is survived by two sons, Joseph P. Macie and his wife Medora of Elkridge, MD, and Andrew J. Macie and his wife Wendy of Forest Hill, MD, four grandsons, Caleb Macie and his wife Meredith, Nathan Macie, Andrew David Macie and Luke Macie, three brothers, Steve Macie, Doug Macie and Eugene Macie, and a sister, Pearl Macie.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Dennis and John Macie.

A time of visitation and desert will be held at 10 AM, on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Ave, Hanover, with a Celebration of Life service at 11 AM, and a luncheon to follow.  Memorial contributions may be made to SAT-7 by visiting www.sat7usa.org.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
