Dorothy E. (Daum) Schlaline, 83, died Friday, April 7, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of the late John L. Schlaline, her husband of 59 years, who died January 4, 2015.
Dorothy was born January 24, 1934, in Adams Co., the daughter of the late Clemens and Mary (Brown) Daum.
Dorothy was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbottstown, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Dorothy is survived two daughters, Cathy Sneeringer and her husband, William of New Oxford, and Dottie Krieger and her husband, Gary of York; two sons, John Schlaline and his wife, Diane of East Berlin, and Mark Schlaline of Eastvale, CA, ten grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Herman of Chambersburg; and a brother, Gary Daum of New Oxford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd, Abbottstown, with Rev. Dwight Schlaline and Rev. Timothy Marcoe as Con-Celebrants. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
