Donna M. (Toomey) Deardorff, 81, went home to be with Jesus Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her home.  She was the wife of George L. Deardorff, her husband of 61 years.

Donna was born November 25, 1940, in York Co., the daughter of the late Carl and Grace (Crone) Toomey.

Donna was a member of Red Mount U.M. Church in East Berlin, and loved to sing in choir and play in the chime choir.  She loved spending time with her family, sewing, cooking, baking, canning and doing puzzles.  Donna had many jobs in at Sewing Factory in Mount Wolf, Shoe Factory, Lau's Store Bakery, both in East Berlin, Castle Care, The Brethren Home, Weis Market Bakery and then retiring from Country Meadows but always was looking out for others with her Great Hospitality.

In addition to her husband George, Donna is survived by four daughters, Georgia A. Deardorff of Dover, Wanda J. Shoemaker and her husband Jeffrey, Joanne C. Shepard and her husband Robert, and Brenda K. Long and her husband Bryon, all of East Berlin, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and two sisters, Dorothy Anthony of Spring Grove, and Carol Crum of York.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Alan and Sterling Toomey.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 11 AM at Red Mount U.M. Church, 1883 Baltimore Pike, East Berlin, with her pastor, Rev. Sandy Kraft officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Red Mount U.M.
