Obituary

Delphine I. (Maciejewski) Albert, 84, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill. She was the wife of the late James T. Albert, who died November 18, 2013.

Delphine was born July 31, 1936 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Leonard S. and Irene H. (Walczak) Maciejewski.

Delphine was a Secretary, an Elementary and Special Education teacher, a nanny, a golfer, and an artist who enjoyed painting.  Delphine volunteered at her church of the Good Sheppard for as long as she was a member in various capacities.

Delphine is survived by three sons, Dr. James T. Albert, Jr, and his wife Amy of Clarence Center, NY, Jeff Albert and his wife Vinita of Eggertsville, NY, and Dr. Richard Albert and his wife Aruni of Pearland, TX, six grandsons, one great granddaughter, two sisters, Joan Gruszecki and her husband Richard of Tonawanda, NY and Diane Clarke and her husband James of York, eight nieces and nephews, ten grand nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, friends and acquaintances from nine cities.  She was predeceased by two young daughters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 11 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd. Abbottstown, with Rev. Philip Burger officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Francis Asissi Soup Kitchen, 1459 Zarker St., Harrisburg, PA 17104 or Wounded Warriors, P.O.Box 758516, Topeka, KS, 66675.
