Dean A. Boop, Jr, 89, passed Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the home of his daughter in Dover.  He was the husband of Monica L. (Pleckaitis) Boop, his wife of 59 years.

Dean was born June 23, 1933, in Youngstown, OH, the son of the late Dean A. and Edith M. (Cook) Boop, Sr.

Dean was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbottstown, and served as a 1st Lt in the U.S. Army in artillery during the Cold War.  He was top of his class at Youngstown University and was a financial consultant for various large corporations.  Dean and Monica enjoyed many years in Canada fishing, and enjoyed golfing.

In addition to his wife Monica, Dean is survived by a daughter, Donna A. Keefer of Dover, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a brother, John Boop of Warren, OH, a sister, Dorene Oakley of Youngstown, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Ted Boop.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 11 AM, at Belmont Park Cemetery, 3346 Belmont Ave, Youngstown, OH.  Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Southern Missions, 6050 Highway 161N, Walls, MS 38686.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
