Dawn C. Sheaffer

Dawn C. (Gruver) Sheaffer, 80, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at her residence. She was the wife of Ronald E. Sheaffer, her husband of 61 years.
Dawn was born July 28, 1936, in Paradise Twp., the daughter of the late Raymond L. and Nettie M. (Gerber) Gruver.
Dawn was an active member of Paradise "Holtzschwamm" Lutheran Church in Thomasville, and was employed at Caterpillar, Inc for more than 30 years.
In addition to her husband Ronald, Dawn is survived by two daughters, Cynthia A. Shaffer and her husband, Richard of Carlisle, and Lori L.S. Brodbeck and her husband, Keith of Spring Grove, and four grandchildren, Matthew, Sean, Christopher and Megan. She was predeceased by five brothers, Franklin, William, John, Clair, and Burnell Gruver; and two sisters, Ethel M. Shaffer and Joyce M. Swope.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Paradise "Holtzschwamm" Lutheran Church, 3241 Church Rd, Thomasville, with Rev. Timothy Seitz-Brown and Rev. Larry A. McConnell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing, however the family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
