David A. Hoover, Sr, 94, passed Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Weikert's Personal Care Home, Littlestown.  He was the husband of the late Susan M. (Berwager) Hoover, who passed September 9, 2013.

David was born November 10, 1929, in Spring Grove, the son of the late William M. and Esther B. (Goodyear) Hoover.

David served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a member of St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church, New Oxford.

David is survived by his children, Randall C. Hoover, Sr, and his wife Nancy of New Oxford, Constance D. Ahlers and her husband Daniel of York Springs, David A. Hoover, Jr, and his husband Kurt Streckfuss of Barboursville, VA, Danny L. Hoover and his partner Michael Koicuba of York, and Candy S. Brockman and her husband Mark of Port Orchard, WA, four grandchildren, Randall Hoover, Jr, Stephanie Hankey, Brittanny Hoover, and Jason Ahlers, eight great grandchildren, a brother, Richard Hoover of New Oxford, and two sisters, Aleman Motake of York, and Naomi Reimold of Stewartstown.  He was predeceased by four brothers, Calvin, William, Kenneth and Arthur Hoover, and three sisters, Amanda Rahe, Elenora Toddes and Susan Hoover.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 11 AM, at St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church, 1535 Hunterstown-Hampton Rd, New Oxford, with Rev. Carol Parr officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover at 2:30 PM.  A viewing will be held on Monday, from 6-8 PM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford.  Memorial contributions may be made to Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
