David E. Hartlaub, Sr, 73, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at University of MD Hospital.

Dave was born February 19, 1951, in Hanover, the son of the late John E. and Freda M. (Thoman) Hartlaub.

Dave retired from BAE Systems in York after 44 years of service, and was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Hanover, New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, and East Berlin V.F.W.  He was an avid hunter and loved NASCAR racing.

Dave is survived by three sons, David E. Hartlaub and his wife April of New Oxford, Jamie R. Hartlaub and his wife Dawn of New Oxford, and Keith A. Hartlaub and his wife Olivia of Pylesville, MD, his companion Ann E. Harman of New Oxford, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two brothers, John E. Hartlaub of Littlestown, and Michael L. Hartlaub of New Oxford, and seven sisters, Deborah A. Harpster of Bonneauville, Susan E. Berwager of Spring Grove, Diane T. Parrill of Bethany Beach, DE, Patricia M. Arentz of East Berlin, Donna L. Cassett of East Berlin, Ruth A. Collins of Littlestown, and Nancy E. Sentz of Gettysburg.  He was predeceased by a sister, Jean K. Smith, and two brothers, Jeffrey J. Hartlaub and Dale E. Hartlaub.

A service to celebrate Dave's life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11 AM, at Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Ave, Hanover, with his son, Rev. Keith A. Hartlaub officiating.  A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until 11 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
