David B. "Bake" Baker, 68, passed Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at UPMC Memorial Hospital, York.
Bake was born April 30, 1956, in Hanover, the son of the late Walter E. and Evelyn (Manspeaker) Baker, Sr.
Bake was a member of New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, Shellsville V.F.W. Post #9639 Auxiliary, and Son of American Legion Post #329, Elizabethtown.
Bake is survived by two sons, David B. Baker, Jr, of Glassboro, NJ and CW3 Robert E. Baker and his wife Jessica of Pittsgrove, NJ, a daughter, Nicole Hall of Hi-Nella, NJ, eight grandchildren, Susana, Zackary, Collin, Janessa, Wyatt, Roman, Sophia and Charlotte, his ex-wife and best friend, Debra A. Newell of York Haven, three brothers, Walter E. Baker, Jr and his wife Deborah of Indian Land, SC, William B. Baker of West Palm Beach, FL, and Richard M. Baker of Hanover, two sisters, Ramona E. Garrity of Boca Raton, FL, and Dorothy D. Emig of East Berlin, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Jane Schuman and Julie F. Baker, and two nephews, Patrick Garrity and Timothy Emig.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2 PM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 PM until the time of the service. Following cremation, burial will be in St. John's Church Cemetery, Abbottstown, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2 PM. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
