Darrell J. Armstrong, 72, passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Susan R. (McMasters) Armstrong, his wife of 50 years.
Darrell was born December 11, 1950 in Grafton, WV, the son of the late Darrell and Dorothy (Cole) Armstrong.
Darrell was a U.S. Army Veteran, Vietnam War, from 1969 to 1971.He was a lifelong member of the Richard J. Gross, V.F.W. Post 8896 East Berlin. Darrell loved Sunday dinners with his family, working in the garden, fishing and building go-carts.
In addition to his wife, Susan, Darrell is survived by a son, Darrell Felton Armstrong of East Berlin, two daughters, Robin D. Armstrong of Thomasville, and Stacy L. Armstrong of Abbottstown, seven grandchildren, Josh, Zack and Cheyeane Meckley, Brittany and Chloe Armstrong, Logan Smith, and Jordan Stough, five Great grandchildren, two sisters, Mildred Stewart of Oakland, MD, and Helen Ausdreau of Glasford, IL, and one brother, John Armstrong of SC. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Wells and Bonnie Bateman, and a brother Ray Armstrong.
A gathering will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 11 am to 1 PM at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St. East Berlin. Military Honors will be conducted by Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN, 38105.Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome
