Darlene F. (Jenkins) Rodgers, 79, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, Friday, October 15, 2021. She was the wife of Donald L. Rodgers, her husband of 60 years.

Darlene was born October 5, 1942 in North Codorus Twp, York Co, the daughter of the late Carl and May (Lambert) Jenkins.

Darlene was a 1960 graduate of Spring Grove High School.  Darlene worked for the Spring Grove School District for 33 years as a secretary.  She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Abbottstown.  Darlene enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband Donald, Darlene is survived by a son, Dan L. Rodgers and his wife Amy of Abbottstown, a daughter, Deb A. Pelaia and her husband Paul of Spring Grove, two grandchildren, Lauren Pelaia of Brooklyn, NY and Alex Pelaia of Frederick, MD, a sister, Elva Dubbs and her husband Charles of Hanover, a brother, Robert Jenkins of East Berlin, a sister, Naomi Slyder of York and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Phyllis Skelly and Audrey Jacobs, a daughter-in-law, Marianna "Bubba" Rodgers and two brother-in-laws, Barry Skelly and Donald Jacobs.

A memorial service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 100 East Water St., Abbottstown, Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 11AM, with Rev. Shawn Berkebile officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 100 E. Water St., Abbottstown, PA, 17301.
