Darlene M. (Smith) Funk, 78, passed Thursday, June 6, 2024, at WellSpan York Hospital.  She was the wife of Terry J. Funk, her husband of 58 years.

Darlene was born May 9, 1946, in Hanover, the daughter of the late Harry S. and Mamie A. (Stambaugh) Smith.

Darlene was a life member of Hanover Home Association and a member of the American Legion in Hanover.  She was an avid reader, loved walking her dog Maggie Sue, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Terry, Darlene is survived by three daughters, Sherry L. Thompson and her husband Jeffrey of Hanover, Shelly A. Sharp and her husband Michael of Seven Valleys, and Shantel L. Plakas and her husband Antonios of Hanover, four grandchildren, Joshua Sharp, Jacob Sharp, Owen Harlacher and Dru Harlacher, and a brother, Charles "Joe" Smith of Hanover.  She was predeceased by ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 11 AM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin, with Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier officiating.  Burial will be in Holtzschwamm Union Cemetery, Thomasville.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to York County SPCA, 3159 N.
