Dale E. "Hippie" Ruppert, 60, passed away suddenly, July 9, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Tammy J. (Hoover) Ruppert, being together for over 21 years. Dale was born March 19, 1956 in Gettysburg, the son of Gloria A. (Wonders) and Mearle Delp of East Berlin and of the late Gene Ruppert. Dale was self- employed as a truck driver with his company "Dale E. Ruppert Trucking Co." for many years. Dale was a life- long member at the Hampton Fire Co., a member of the Latimore Valley Campground, a member of the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing. He will be truly missed by his family and everyone who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, Tammy, Dale is survived by four daughters, Tessa Ruppert of East Berlin, Ashly Lentz of York, Rebecca Ruppert of East Berlin and Staci Nauman of York; two grandsons, Shawn Staub of East Berlin and Austyn Aiello of York; two granddaughters, Alixis Aiello of York and Addysen Aiello-Hoke of York; three sisters, Tracy Ruppert of New Oxford, Cindy Flynn and husband, Bill of New Oxford and Debra Crushong and husband, Denny of Hanover; his puppy Leo; and many nieces and nephews. Dale was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Harvey and Vera Ruppert; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Pauline Wonders.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 8 p.m. from the Hampton Fire Company Hall, 5371 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford. There will be no burial. A visitation will be held at the Fire Company Hall from 5 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial donations be made "on-line" to "Make a Wish Foundation", @ wish.org. The Feiser Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
