Clyde E. Kepner, 93, of New Oxford entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Fairfield and was the son of the late Roy L. and Tressie (Kump) Kepner. He was the devoted husband of Elsie (Decker) Kepner to whom he shared 70 wonderful years of marriage.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served from 1953 until 1961. He was employed at ESAB retiring in 1997 after 28 years of service. Clyde was a member of St. Paul’s “The Pines” Lutheran Church and the New Oxford Social and Athletic Club.
Clyde enjoyed hunting at his cabin that he built, located in Mount Hope which is near his childhood home. He was always busy working, building and repairing things. He was a proud provider for his family and was willing to help others wherever his talents were needed.
In addition to his wife, Clyde is survived by his children, Gregory Kepner, (Mary Griffin) of York Springs, Karen Rabine (Robert), and Tania Kepner of New Oxford; grandchildren, Jennifer Reichart and Benjamin Rabine; great-grandchildren, Sadie Reichart, Hannah Kling, and Logan Reichart; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his 9 siblings; Lawrence, Luther, and Glenn Kepner, Esther Kemper, Blanche Koontz, Mildred Shindledecker, Dorothy Slonaker, Charlotte Byers, and Kathryn Lewis.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Clyde’s Funeral Service at St. Paul’s “The Pines” Lutheran Church, 1535 Hunterstown Hampton Road, New Oxford, PA 17350, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
