Chester W. Stine, 89, of New Oxford, died Friday, August 12, 2016 at The Brethren Home Community. He was the husband of the late Eleanor V. (Zimmerman) Stine.

Chester was born May 27, 1927, in Carroll Co., MD, the son of the late Chester W. and Helen F. (Warner) Stine, Sr.

Chester is survived by a daughter, Brenda C. Baker, and her husband Howard of Port St. Lucie, FL, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a sister, Linda Stine of Frederick, and his former wife Carolyn (Rudy) Stine of Frederick. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lois Ann Moore, and 2 brothers; Nelson and Richard Stine.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11 AM at the chapel at Rest Haven Cemetery, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, with Rev. R. Kent Ramler officiating. A visitation will be held at the chapel on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund of The Brethren Home Community, 2290 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA 17350, or to Peoples Baptist Church, 6648 Carpenter Rd, Frederick, MD 21703.
