Carolynne M. Seeman, 84, passed Friday, May 31, 2024, at The Brethren Home Community. She was the wife of the late James M. Fox, her husband of 22 years, who passed December 10, 2015.
Carolynne was born December 6, 1939, in Camden, NJ, the daughter of the late Harry J. and Concetta A. (Sergi) Seeman.
Carolynne was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford. Carolynne graduated from Immaculata College and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Carolynne was a career Federal employee who worked in Administration for the U.S. Postal Service. Carolynne was an avid traveler, who enjoyed skiing and photography. She was also an accomplished private pilot who eventually purchased and owned a Piper Cherokee aircraft with her beloved husband Jim Fox. Together they flew to many destinations throughout the United States.
Carolynne was also a member of the church choir at Holy Trinity Church in Washington, D.C. After moving to Gettysburg, PA, Carolynne became an active member of the choir with Gettysburg Church of Christ.
Carolynne was known for having a very creative mind and a quick wit. For family birthdays she would often write a very interesting story or poem about the guest of honor, and she was deeply beloved by her many nieces and nephews.
Carolynne is survived by three sisters, Joanne Kolen and her husband Joseph of Elkins Park, PA, Margaret Jacocks of Kensington, MD, and Dolores Royston of Bethesda, MD.
Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
