Candace L. "Candy" (Cartzendafner) Gebhart, 53, died Thursday, October 27, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of Steve A. Gebhart, Sr, her husband of 35 years.
Candy was born July 23, 1963 in Westminster, Md., the daughter of Kathileen R. (Ruby) Cartzendafner of New Oxford and the late Donald L. Cartzendafner.
Candy earned a degree in business and worked as a hair stylist at the Bon Ton in Hanover for many years. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God in East Berlin and loved to babysit her grandchildren. In addition to her husband Steve; and mother Kathileen, Candy is survived by a son, Steve A. Gebhart, Jr,, and his wife Jeni of Hanover, a son, Bradley M. Gebhart, and his wife Kate of New Oxford; a daughter, Kayla L. Arigo, and her husband Jeff of Hanover; a son, Shane D. Gebhart, and his fiancée' Nikky Stachmus of New Oxford;12 grandchildren, Andrew, Macenna, Olivia, Ashlynn, Lily, Rowan, Jayla, Camden, Anna, Joey, Jacob and Quinn; and a sister, Karen J. Milkey, and her husband Chris of Rudolph, Wis. She was predeceased by a sister, Donna Cartzendafner.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 12 p.m. at New Life Assembly of God, 2136 Baltimore Pike, East Berlin, with Pastor Joel Everhart officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
