IN LOVING MEMORY OF
C. Scott
Hull
November 1, 1958 – March 2, 2025
C. Scott Hull, 66, went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 2, 2025. He passed at his home which was the family farmhouse that he had beautifully remodeled. He was the husband of Julie A. (Elicker) Hull, his wife of 43 years.
Scott was born November 1, 1958, the son of the late Glenn A. and Ellen M. (Gaffney) Hull. He graduated from Dover High School, Dover, PA in 1976.
Scott co-founded Hull Enterprises, a general construction firm, with his father in 1982. He enjoyed building houses, restoring old buildings and historical sites, and crafting beautiful cabinets and furniture. He was a member of Manor Lodge Hunting and Fishing Club in Slate Run, PA, where he enjoyed the outdoors with his family annually in the fall. He was a member of the East Berlin Historical Society, serving as a board member and participating in the Hearth Cooking Club. In addition to the Club, he often cooked on the hearth of his own home or in his cookstove, hosting family dinners enjoyed by candlelight.
In addition to his construction business, Scott farmed the family farm for many years, harvesting hay, corn, wheat, and soybeans. He enjoyed working on older tractors, getting them into working condition for use on the farm. He could often be found giving his grandchildren a tractor ride or letting them help tend the garden or the chickens. An annual tradition including involving the family in processing the various bounty of the garden. He worked tirelessly with his father in restoring his father's 1931 Plymouth Sedan, which they took to many car shows over the years. One of Scott's favorite activities was training and participating in English style equestrian events at Stonewood Farms. Lastly, Scott was an avid deer hunter, using both rifle and muzzleloader.
In addition to his wife Julie, Scott is survived by a daughter, Lydia A. Nailor and her husband William of East Berlin, two grandchildren, Weston S. Nailor and Reagan E. Nailor, both of East Berlin, and two brothers, Sidney L. Hull and his wife Dianne of Harrisburg, and Dwight D. Hull of East Berlin.
