Bonnie L. (Grim) Kistler, 77, passed Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late James W. Kistler, III, together for 20 years, who passed November 22, 2023.
Bonnie was born May 18, 1947 in York, the daughter of the late Richard L. and Arlene E. (Keeney) Grim-Hockensmith.
Bonnie was raised on the family farm in York and moved to Texas for 17 years, before relocating to Hanover. Bonnie was a member of the Potter's House Church in McSherrystown for many years, and in her lifetime, was employed as a cook, secretary, and a home health care provider. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family, especially with all the grand, and great grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Mychelle Wolf and her husband Randy of New Oxford and Theresa Taylor and her husband Allen of TX, six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter, two sisters, Susie Pointer and Cathie Carl, both of TX, a brother, Steve Grim of Thomasville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Matthew E. Altland, two brothers, Richard "Dickie" Grim and Bradley Grim, and a sister, Donna Grim.
Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11 AM, at the Utz Pavilion, 861 Carlisle St, Hanover, with Pastor John Hanner officiating. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
