Blanche P. (Milhimes) Thomas, 98, formerly of York Springs, died Monday, August 29, 2016, at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg. She was the wife of the late Sterling W. Thomas, who died January 18, 1999.
Blanche was born July 10, 1918, in New Oxford, the daughter of the late James W. and Veronica M. (Smith) Milhimes.
Blanche was a member of St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church in New Oxford.
Blanche is survived by four sons, Robert W. Thomas of York Springs, Donald L. Thomas of East Berlin, William C. Thomas of Higgins, and Jay W. Thomas of Dillsburg; two daughters, Roxie A. Sultzbaugh of Dillsburg, and Helen M. Bretz of Fredericksburg, nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Eugene H. Thomas.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with Rev. Charles C. Milliken officiating. Burial will be in the Pines Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
