Betty L. Dockey

Betty L. (Garvick) Dockey, 68, died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Dockey, Sr., who died March 31, 2008.
Betty was born September 29, 1947, in Newport, RI, the daughter of the late Wilmer H. and Ruth E. (Gladfelter) Garvick.
Betty was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Oxford, retired in 2007 from Sears after 24 years of service where she worked in the men's department, carpeting and jewelry, and was an avid reader.
Betty is survived by a son, Robert S. Dockey, Jr. of New Oxford; a grandson, Braidon M. Dockey; two brothers, Donald R. Garvick of Silver Spring, MD, and Gary W. Garvick of York New Salem; a cousin, Barb Jason of Sykesville, MD, her loving close friend, Harriet Johnson of York; and several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 7:30 p.m., at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with Rev. Cynthia A.
