Beatrice P. (Sangrey) Lehr, 96, passed away March 18, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of Ronald E." Ron" Lehr, her husband of 52 years. Beatrice was born January 10, 1921 in Rohrerstown, the daughter of the late Harry and Nora (Knier) Sangrey.
Beatrice worked for R.C.A. for 33 years and retired as a Purchasing Agent, played the organ at several roller skating rinks including Maple Grove, Playland and Rocky Springs, taught both the piano and organ, was very active with the Red Hatters club, a member of the VFW Richard J. Gross Post 8896, East Berlin, active with the Lake Meade Community center where she lived and an active camper for over 30 years at the Gettysburg Farms Camp Grounds during the summer months.
In addition to her husband, Ron, Beatrice is survived by a daughter, Dolores J. "Dorie" Barto and husband, Arthur of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Rodney Schrader and Keith Schrader; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry "Henner" Sangrey of Landisville; one step son; and one step daughter.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin, with Rev. Bonnie J. Whittier officiating. Burial will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 in Kreider Cemetery, Manheim. A viewing will be held Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice of Hanover/Spring Grove, 440 N. Madison St., Hanover, PA, 17331.
