Anthony C. "Tony" Groft, 70, of Hanover, passed peacefully at his home Friday, August 18, 2023.

Tony was born June 16, 1953 in Hanover, the son of the late Charles I. "Chunk" and Marie T. (Smith) Groft, Jr.

Tony was a 1972 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, and a 1977 graduate of Mount St. Mary's College, Emmittsburg, MD.

Surviving are four sisters, Stephanie A. Kew and her husband Victor of Willow Hill, Linda M. Groft of New Oxford, Anita R. Hale of Wellsville, and Rosalie M. Diehl of Harrisburg, three brothers, Timothy A. Groft and his wife Judy of Hanover, Thomas J. Groft and his wife Sherry of Spring Grove, and Ted A. Groft and his wife Meredeth of Hanover, 17 nieces and nephews, and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Scott Hale.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11 AM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with Rev. Keith Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, New Oxford. A visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 AM until the time of service.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
