Anita Marie Buie, 80, of Hanover, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Homewood of Plum Creek, Hanover. She was born in Hanover and was the loving daughter of the late S. Francis and Marie G. (Rickrode) Riser. She was the widow of Curtis Robert Buie.

She worked at Hanover Hall for the entirety of her career and retired after 40 years of serving her community with great compassion and care.

Anita held the position of Director of Nursing at Hanover Hall, was a Charter member of the John T. Reilly Historical Society, the Irishtown Fire Co., and the York Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Assoc. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandsons.

Anita is survived by her daughter, Jennifer M. Brenner and her husband Troy of Fairfield, PA; son, James R. Buie and his wife Adriana Ngom of Baltimore, MD; grandsons, Evan Donnelly, Liam Donnelly, and Chase Brenner; several nieces and a nephew.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Feiser Funeral & Cremation Care, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, PA from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anita’s Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Basilica, 30 Basilica Drive, Hanover on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dwight Schlaline as Celebrant. Burial will take place at the Conewago Chapel Basilica Cemetery immediately following.
