Adeline M. (Sarandrea) Mannarino, 92, and known to all as "Addie", passed Monday, February 14, 2022, at The Brethren Home Community.  She was the wife of the late Francis J. "Frank" Mannarino, her husband of 64 years, who passed January 29, 2016.

Addie was born July 10, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late James (Vincenzo) and Susie (Prosseda) Sarandrea.

Addie was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbottstown.

Addie is survived by her children, Laura M. Chatelain and her husband Richard of Plainwell, MI, Diane Menapace and her husband Paul of Hanover, Andrew J. Mannarino and his wife Wendy of New Market, MD, James F. Mannarino (Jessica, deceased) Frederick, MD, Lisa Molite and her husband John of Fallston, MD, and Jennifer Smarsh and her husband David of Williamsburg, VA, 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a brother, Ludwig Sarandrea of Penobscot Bay, ME

Addie was raised in an Italian Catholic family in Brooklyn, NY.  Her parents had come to New York From Italy.  She was raised with her 3 siblings, Amelia, Vincent and Ludwig (Luddy).  She lived in the same home as her grandparents, whom she cherished.  She was an artist and began her career at Cohn-Hall-Marx as a textile designer.  She met her husband Frank, who worked there as well, and after 4 years, they were married.  She became a homemaker.  She loved to cook and had a wonderful sense of style and artistic talent.  She enjoyed the finer things in life and was everybody's friend.  She enjoyed knowing about others.  She was known to make friends with the checkers at the grocery store and the nurses at her doctor's offices.  She loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and her passion was her family. Addie loved her faith and spent a great deal of her time praying for her loved ones.  Her children and grandchildren and all who knew her will miss her terribly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 11 AM, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd, Abbottstown, Rev. Philip Burger officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  A viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of mass.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
