Obituary

Adam R. Rudisill, 33, passed peacefully Saturday, January 13, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was the loving husband of Darian C. (Reyes-Curtis) Rudisill.

Adam was born April 22, 1990, in Hanover, the son of Diane (Bretzman) and Dave Poist of New Oxford, and David A. Rudisill of McSherrystown.

Adam was a 2008 graduate of New Oxford High School, where he participated in football, wrestling and baseball. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus in McSherrystown.  Adam loved being a chef and sharing his passion with everyone he came in contact with. He always thought food brought people together. The family would like to acknowledge some of the mentors in his career, including Fred Ramsey, John Kimball, Patrick Hamilton, Jason Sereno, Bill Webb, Alex Young, "Hawk" and Jabar Newton.

The family would also like to thank his close friends, Branden and Kelly McWilliams, Conrad Muller, Dru "Fatty" Adams, and Cameron Estep. Your devotion and special bond was something he cherished and he looked forward to the times you all spent together.

In addition to his wife Darian and his parents, Adam is survived by his dog Ziggy, a sister, Shannon M. Rudisill of New Oxford, his mother-in-law, Marea Reyes of Charleston, SC, maternal grandmother, Janet C. Bretzman of Gettysburg, cousin/best friend, Paige Harget of Abbottstown, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert L. and Joan M. Rudisill, maternal grandfather, Paul E. Bretzman, as well as his late mentor and friend, Gon Trimble.
