A. Grayson Eller, 83, died Saturday, May 13, 2017, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Velma D. (Brown) Eller, his wife of 64 years.
Born October 18, 1933, in Wilkes Co., NC, he was the youngest child of the late John G. and Ethel (Jones) Eller.
Grayson graduated from Millers Creek High School in North Carolina. He was a longtime member of the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church, Hunterstown, where he also served as a trustee and Sunday school superintendent. He was also the treasurer of the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church Cemetery Association. He retired in 1996 from Teledyne Readco, York, and also had been a carpenter.
In addition to his wife, Velma, Grayson is survived by his three children, Anita (Mrs. John) Drummond of Hagerstown, MD, Tina (Mrs. Kurt) Noll of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, and Timothy (Liza) Eller of Springfield, VA; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth Simmons, Abby Hudspeth, Emily Simmons, Stephen Eller and Lauren Eller. He was predeceased by 17 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church, 174 Red Bridge Rd, Gettysburg, with his pastor, the Rev. Charles Best, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford. There will be no viewing at the church on Wednesday, however, the family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church or to the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church Cemetery Association, at the church address.
