Sherman "Lee" Miller Obituary

Sherman Lee Miller passed away on April 28, 2018, surrounded by his family. Lee was born in Fayette City, Pennsylvania, on October 12, 1932 to Mildred Mae Miller. He attended Brownsville High School and served in the Army for four years during the Korean War.

Lee married Donna Jean Weimer in 1956, and together they had four children: Stephen Edward, Gregory Howard, Linda Lee, and Diane Leslie. Lee worked as a builder for twenty years before entering federal service as a maintenance administrator at Fort Belvoir. Donna and Lee divorced in 1973, and he married Stephanie Tilden in 2004; they were together until her death in January 2018.

He is survived by his children: Greg and Cindy Miller, Linda and Brian Brunick, Diane and William Jennings, and his grandchildren: Kaitlin Lee, Colton Howard, Gregory Stephen, Taylor Hope, Candace Jean, Lauren Faith, and Brooke Leslie Ann; and his step children: David Millner, Melanie Millner, Michael Millner and Martin Millner.

Lee retired with Stephanie to their home on Lake Meade, Pennsylvania, where they spent their time traveling, boating, and visiting with their children and grandchildren. Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending antique car shows and restoring his 1923 Buick Roadmaster. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. A Celebration of Life was held in Fairfax in May. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Sierra Club or the American Cancer Society.
