Robert P. Kuhn

Robert P. "Bob" Kuhn, 71, of Hanover, formerly of New Oxford, died Saturday, July 1, 2017, at his home.  He was the beloved husband of Ruth E. (Reaver) Kuhn, his wife of 42 years, and father of Robert M. Kuhn of McSherrystown.

Bob was born November 21, 1945, in New Oxford, the son of the late Edward and Anna (Riser) Kuhn.

Bob was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford, a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War, a member of Catholic War Veterans, life member of New Oxford Social and Athletic Club, and a member of the McSherrystown Home Association. Bob was employed with ESAB Welding Co. for over 44 years, retiring in 2014. Bob was devoted to his family and Christian faith. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing.

In addition to his wife Ruth and son Robert, Bob is survived by three brothers; Bernard Kuhn, James Kuhn, and Joseph Kuhn, three sisters; Sandra Slagle, Linda Baltzley, and Jane Walker, all of New Oxford. He was predeceased by one daughter, Rebecca Ann Kuhn, three brothers; Edward Kuhn, Donald F. Kuhn, and John Kuhn, and one sister, Barbara Kuhn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at 10:00 AM from the Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, 26 N. Third St., McSherrystown, with Rev Charles Persing officiating. Everyone should go directly to the church and not the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, New Oxford. There will be no viewing. A visitation  will be held, Wednesday, July 5, 2017, from 6 to 8 PM at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with a Rosary Service at 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions are made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Dr., Camp Hill, PA. 17011.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
