Richard E. Meckley

Richard E. Meckley, 65, of East Berlin, died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy.

Richard was born October 7, 1951, in Hanover, the son of the late David S. and Jennie M. (Hamme) Meckley.

Richard was a member of the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club and the East Berlin Fish and Game.  He loved hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Richard is survived by a daughter, Jamie K. Lentz, and her husband Bryan of New Oxford, a son, Thomas J. Meckley and his companion Meghan Flores of East Berlin, five grandchildren, Cody, Jesse, Cheyenne, Madysen and Jase, two sisters, Susan M. Spangler and Norma J. Myers, both of Abbottstown, and a brother, James E. Meckley of Abbottstown.  He was predeceased by two brothers, David C. Meckley and H. Allen Meckley.
