Raymond "Raymie" Smith Obituary

Raymond G. “Raymie” Smith, 49, died March 22, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Andrea “Ann” M. (Yealy) Smith, his wife of 19 Years.

Raymie was the son of Rose A. Smith, of New Oxford, and the late Conway T. Smith.

Raymie was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford, the McSherrystown Home Association, the K. of C. of McSherrystown, and the New Oxford Social and Athletic Club. Raymie was a hard-working man, dedicated to his family, and always willing to help a friend.

In addition to his wife Annie and his mother Rose, Raymie is survived by a daughter, Alexis Rae “Lexie” Smith, of New Oxford, six brothers, Thomas J. Smith and his wife JoAnn, Jerome P. Smith and his wife Sally, Samuel A. Smith and his wife Ann, John F. Smith and his wife Donna, Douglas E. Smith and his wife Donna, and Dennis C. Smith and his companion Deb Harper, all of New Oxford, three sisters, Debra L. Brandberg and her husband Philip of Carlisle, Valerie J. McFalls and her husband Patrick of New Oxford, and Mary G. King and her husband Brian of Abbottstown, 13 nieces, 12 nephews, three great nieces and three great nephews.  He was predeceased by a niece, Chelsea McFalls.                                                                                 

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at 10 AM, at  Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St, New Oxford, with Rev. Charles Persing officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adams Co SPCA, 11 Goldenville Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325 or A.A., 1251 S. 19th St. Harrisburg, PA  17104.
