Paul L. Wheeler, Jr.

Paul L. “Bub” Wheeler, Jr, 81, of Hanover, died Friday, February 16, 2018, at his residence.  He was the husband of Linda J. (Bardin) Wheeler, his wife of 34 years.

Paul was born September 29, 1936, in Harrisonburg, VA, the son of the late Paul L. and Kathleen (Boyers) Wheeler, Sr.

Paul was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover, the McSherrystown Home Association, the McSherrystown Moose, and the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club. He was employed by Cole Steel in York for 34 years, and he retired from the Spring Grove School District.  He worked part-time at Elsner Engineering and volunteered at the VNA/Hospice.                      

In addition to his wife Linda, Paul is survived by his children, Brad E. Wheeler of Carrollton, OH, Gene A. Mummert of Chambersburg, Keith E. Mummert of Hanover, Tami L. Furr and her husband Jeff of Hanover, James J. Talasco, Jr, of Hanover, and Marty B. Wheeler and his wife Mikki of New Oxford, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a sister, Joyce Greenholt of Lancaster.  He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Boyers.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at 4 PM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut St, Hanover, with Rev. Faye Snyder officiating.  Burial will be private.  A viewing will be held at the church on Sunday from 2-4 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, or to VNA/Hospice, 440 N.
