Paul K. McIlwee, Sr, 91, of Hanover, died Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of June M. (Sebright) McIlwee, his wife of 72 years.
Paul was born February 25, 1926, in Adams Co., the son of the late Lonnie B. and Ella L. (Keller) McIlwee.
Paul was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, where he was stationed in Panama. He was a member of the Hanover V.F.W., the McSherrystown Moose, and the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, and retired from Utz Foods.
In addition to his wife June, Paul is survived by his children, Paulette K. Dubs, Barbara A. Perrone and her husband Steve Gass, and Paul K. McIlwee, Jr, and his wife Stephanie all of Hanover, and Rosellen L. Fairall and her husband Duane Sweep of Burnsville, MN, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, seven step grandchildren, and six step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred Sterner and Hazel Chronister, and three brothers, Glenn, Boyd and Carl McIlwee.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 11 AM, at the New Oxford Cemetery, York Rd, New Oxford.
