Mildred L. (Haar) "Millie" Trimmer

Mildred L. “Millie” (Haar) Trimmer, 88, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Columbia Cottage in Hanover.  She was the wife of the late Charles L. “Goog” Trimmer, her husband of 63 years, who died November 27, 2013.

Millie was born July 5, 1930, in Dillsburg, the daughter of the late John W. and Lottie M. (Slusser) Haar.

Mille was a member of Morning Hour Chapel, East Berlin, and attended Zwingli U.C.C., East Berlin.  She was a member of the Adams County Farm Women, TOPS/KOPS, East Berlin, served the East Berlin community as a Girl Scout leader for 25 years, and she retired from R.H. Sheppard in 1992 after 39 years of service.

Millie is survived by two daughters, Sandra L. Williams and her husband Rick of York Springs, and Connie L. Jacobs and her companion Rod Wineka of Hanover, a son, Rick L. Trimmer and his wife Sheri of East Berlin, five grandchildren, Tobie Groft and her husband Shawn, John Jacobs and his wife Sara, Alexis Jacobs, Heather King and Jennifer Trimmer, two step granddaughters, Tasha Schroll and Kimber Schroll, seven great grandchildren, Haley Groft, Brooke Groft, Allyssa Jacobs, Alivia Jacobs Christian, Mason Krebbs, Morgan Krebbs and Charlie Jacobs, two step great grandchildren, Riley Rhodes and Lincoln Rhodes, three sisters, Janet Gruver of East Berlin, Delores Sutton of Dover, and Shirley Weikert of Jacksonville, FL, and a sister-in-law, Sally Haar of East Berlin.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Luther “Butch” Haar, and a sister, Irene Reed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 10 AM, at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin.  Burial will be in East Berlin Union Cemetery.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-8 PM.  Memorial contributions may be made to Zwingli U.C.C., 403 W.
