Michael L. Haifley, 68, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at The Gardens at Gettysburg. He was the husband of Sharon P. (Thomas) Haifley, his wife of 45 years.
Michael was born December 14, 1949, in Denver, CO, the son of Althea G. (Shreve) Haifley of Mattoon, IL, and the late David R. Haifley.
Michael was a member of Missionary Bible Church in Hanover, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife and mother, Michael is survived by five sons, Nathan M. Haifley of Milton, FL, Timothy S. Haifley of Crawfordville, FL, Stephan J. Haifley of Tallahassee, FL, Caleb S. Haifley of Crawfordville, FL, and David J. Haifley of Tallahassee, FL, two daughters, Rachel I. Hardesty of Metamora, IL, and Naomi K. Reaves of Crawfordville, FL, 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five sisters, Kathleen Hernandez, Dorothy Burdick, Ruth Altman, Mamie Jean Yoder, and Mary Wright, and a brother, Daniel Haifley.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11 AM, at Missionary Bible Baptist Church, 920 Beck Mill Rd, Hanover, with Pastor Dan Haifley and Pastor Norman Burdick officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
