Mary E. (Davis) Wherley, 84, died Monday, January 8, 2018, at The Brethren Home Community. She was the wife of the late Ray J. Wherley, her husband of 63 years, who died March 30, 2015.
Mary was born July 6, 1933, in Clearfield, the daughter of the late John and Irene (Royer) Davis.
Mary is survived by three sons; Ray R. Wherley and his wife Amy of Knoxville, Rodney J. Wherley and his wife Janelle of Hanover, and Roger A. Wherley and his wife Kalai of Biglerville, a daughter, Lorraine W. Eck and her husband David of New Oxford, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two sisters, Margaret L. Buckius of Mt. Joy, and Bette A. Geesey of Glen Rock, and a brother, William R. Davis of Shippensburg. She was predeceased by a brother, John Davis, and a sister, Isabelle L. Hershey.
Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adams County Community Foundation, C/O Conewago Valley Scholarship Fund, Ray J.
