Colleen Fleshman Obituary

Colleen R. (McIntire) Fleshman, 75, of New Oxford, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 15, 2018, at York Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Howard R. Fleshman, who died December 29, 2010.

Colleen was born January 25, 1942, in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Paul O. and Marguerite R. (Shandelmeir) McIntire.

Colleen was a life-long member of St. John’s U.C.C. in New Chester, where she volunteered frequently.  While in her 70’s, she helped with the cemetery lawn care.  She also volunteered at the East Berlin Community Thrift Store and belonged to the Recycle Teenagers Group, and the Order of The Eastern Star, Conewago Chapter #532.  She graduated from the Peg Horn Beauty School in the 1970’s and retired from Pfaltzgraff.  She loved life and lived it to the fullest, walking four miles every day with her friends every chance she could.  She was always making people smile and laugh.  Reading, camping and traveling were her passions.  Colleen loved spending time with her family and friends playing games, shopping, eating out or just sitting by the campfire.

Colleen is survived by a son, Howard R. Fleshman, Jr and his wife Jen of Arendtsville, a daughter, C. Annette Cole and her husband Gary of Biglerville, four grandchildren, Meagan R. Smyers and her husband Chad, Brian R. Fleshman, Brock D. Cole, and Chyenne R. Fleshman, and three great grandsons, Mason, Garrison and Axton.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Adam E. Cole.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018, at 11 AM at St. John’s U.C.C., 2243 Hunterstown-Hampton Rd, New Oxford, with Rev. Dr. Margaret J.
