Charles Kulynych, 86, of Thomasville, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at his home. He was the husband of Shirley D. (Decker) Kulynych, his wife of 60 years.
Charles was born March 25, 1931 in Fernwood, the son of the late Harry and Mary (Pohlid) Kulynych.
Charles was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, in Abbottstown. He retired in 1993 from York International after 37 years, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
In addition to his wife Shirley, Charles is survived by four daughters, Christine Sidelinger and her husband Hal of Marble, CO, Nancy Krepps and her husband Andy of New Oxford, Susan Melhorn of Knoxville, TN, and Angela Kulynych of Vero Beach, FL, a son, Charles Kulynych and his wife Michele of Hummelstown, 11 grandchildren, a brother, George Kulynych of Knoxville, TN, and a sister, Irene Fisher of Pittsburgh. He was predeceased by a brother, Pete Kulynych, and five sisters, Ann Sass, Kathryn Onody, Susan Priest, Mary Gabriel and Helen Summers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 10 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 West Canal Rd, Abbottstown, with Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 PM at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford.
