Blanche Byers Obituary

Blanche C. (Breighner) Byers, 93, died Friday, July 27, 2018, at The Brethren Home Community. She was the wife of the late Lee Dewey Byers, who died December 15, 2002.

Blanche was born March 6, 1925, in Abbottstown, the daughter of the late Vincent F. and Edith V. (Lingg) Breighner.

Blanche was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbottstown, and an avid bingo player. Her family was most important to her, and she enjoyed baking, quilting, puzzles and games.

Blanche is survived by four daughters, Beverly A. Millar and her husband Lester of Gettysburg, Deborah L. James of York, Sharon E. Drow and her husband Willy of VA, and Lori R. Byers of NJ, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Lee Dewey Byers, Jr, a daughter, Wanda J. Brown, and a grandson, Mark A. Hagarman.

Funeral services and burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
