Aloma D. “Penny” (Oberlander) Inskip, 72, passed Monday, August 20, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of William G. “Bill” Inskip, her husband of 56 years.
Penny was born March 1, 1946, in Hanover, the daughter of the late Dean and Aloma J. (Rahe) Oberlander.
Penny was a member of Zwingli U.C.C. in East Berlin, and a life member of the East Berlin V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Penny was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, rug hooking, crocheting, gardening and sitting on her back porch watching the wildlife.
In addition to her husband Bill, Penny is survived by a son, Bradley W. Inskip and his wife Andrea of East Berlin, a daughter, Jennifer M. Lambert and her husband Jeffrey of East Berlin, 6 grandchildren, Sarah Gebhart, Amy Inskip, Lisa Jurgill, Michael Hertz, Paige Lambert and Emma Lambert, a great granddaughter, Dalayna Gebhart, a brother, James Oberlander of New Oxford, and two sisters, Peggy Gordon of Thomasville, and Robin Augustine of Frackville. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carole E. Hertz, a brother, Michael Oberlander, and a sister, Phyllis Cline.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 11 AM at Hampton Union Cemetery, Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, with Elder Larry Miller officiating.
