Rowlen L. "Johnny" Huffman

Rowlen L. “Johnny” Huffman, Jr, 79, died Friday, July 14, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Joan L. (Haar) Huffman, his wife of 57 years.

Johnny was born June 28, 1938 in Harrisonburg, VA, the son of the late Rowlen “Shorty” and Nancy (Miller) Huffman.

Johnny was a member of the Paradise “Holtzschwamm” Lutheran Church in Thomasville, and was a truck driver most of his life.  He enjoyed sports and hunting on his farm and cabin in Tioga County, and he loved classic and antiques cars, especially his 62 Corvette.

In addition to his wife Joan, Johnny is survived by two daughters, Michell G. Trish and her husband Jeff of Hanover, and Kay L. Murren and her husband Jeff of East Berlin, three grandchildren; Mitch Sneeringer, Neil Murren, and Erica Murren, a sister, Carole Huffman of Gettysburg, and a brother, William H. Huffman of New Oxford.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 11 AM at Paradise “Holtzschwamm” Lutheran Church, 3241 Church Rd, Thomasville, with Rev Timothy Seitz-Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paradise “Holtzschwamm” Lutheran Church, 3241 Church Rd., Thomasville, PA. 17364, or the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
