Rita Ann (Martin) Bucher

Rita Ann Bucher, 73, of New Oxford, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her
home. She was the wife of Lester L. Bucher, Jr, whom she married on July 14,
1962, her husband of 55 years.

Rita was born on March 3, 1944 in Oxford Twp., the daughter of the late
Joseph B. and Estella Elizabeth (Kuhn) Martin and her step father, Charles
Carbaugh.

Rita was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Oxford,
a supporter of "Relay for Life", and loved helping team "Family Hope". Rita
loved her faith, and spending time with her family, especially her
grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rita enjoyed playing cards with her
siblings, working in her many gardens, and doing crafts. Rita loved taking
family vacations. The family wishes to thank the many doctors and nurses who
cared for her during her illness. 

In addition to her husband Lester, Rita is survived by two daughters;
Kimberly Ann Lawrence and her husband Jeffrey, of Abbottstown, and Lisa
Marie Smith and her husband Allen, of Hanover, a son, Scott Alan Bucher of
New Oxford, six grandchildren; Joshua Lawrence, Jenna Lawrence, Blake Smith,
Tyler Smith, Ashlee Adams, and Wesley Bucher, four Great grandchildren;
Cameron Bullock, Emery Smith, Elliot Smith, and Emma Adams, four sisters;
Clara Riggs of Hanover, Mary Menges and her husband Glenn, of New Oxford,
Dorothy Downin and her husband Larry, of New Oxford, and Rose Topper and her
husband Pat, of New Oxford, two brothers; James Martin and his wife Sharon,
of Manistee, MI, and Burnell Carbaugh and his wife Deana, of New Chester.
She was predeceased by four brothers; Bernard Martin, Francis Martin, Joseph
Martin, and George Martin, two sisters; Pauline Hertz, and Teresa Hankey. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at
10:00 AM from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St., New
Oxford, with Rev. Charles Persing officiating. Burial will be at
Immaculate Conception Cemetery. A viewing will be held Sunday, from 6-8 PM
at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with a
Rosary service at 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial
contributions are sent to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106
Carlisle St., New Oxford, PA.17350 or VNA Hospice of Hanover/Spring Grove,
440 N. Madison St., Hanover, PA. 17331. Memories may be shared at
