Doris R. (Ferree) Grim, 85, of East Berlin, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Wilmer I. Grim, her husband of 67 years.
Doris was born January 22, 1931, in York, the daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Naper) Ferree.
Doris was a member of Bermudian Church of The Brethren and was a volunteer at the Bob Hoffman YMCA in Dover. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed baking, crocheting, and canning.
In addition to her husband Wilmer, Doris is survived by a son, Kerry I. Grim and his wife Lynn of East Berlin, a daughter, Kathy E. Berthoud and her husband John of Austin, a son, Rick A. Grim and his companion Cindy of Dover, a son, Randy H. Grim and his wife Bridget of Wellsboro, a son, Bryon W. Grim and his wife Peggy of Dover, a daughter, Beth A. Crone and her husband Wade of East Berlin, a son, Troy K, Grim and his wife Brenda of East Berlin; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Evelyn Fries of Manchester, Phyllis Mitzel and her husband Ronnie of Wrightsville, and Janice Tomac and her husband Emil of Bethlehem.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Bermudian Church of The Brethren, 279 Bermudian Church Rd, East Berlin, with Pastor Larry Dentler officiating. Burial will be in Red Run Cemetery in East Berlin. Viewings will be held on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin, and on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
